Published as a tribute to the first edition of the 1978 graphic novel, the Limited Edition of Lanterna Magica is a large-format volume featuring three numbered silkscreen prints, authenticated by the Guido Crepax Archive and printed in a run of 100 copies each, as well as an art print created by Lorenzo Mattotti. Numbered from 202 to 300: Reflection. Guido Crepax was not merely an illustrator of refined images, but above all a meticulous craftsman of atmosphere, capable of creating extremely detailed and immersive settings. This silkscreen print reveals not only his tender, almost protective affection for Valentina — sheltered in her dream beneath a mink coat — but also his almost obsessive precision. Every element is carefully calibrated, lending visual weight to the reclining figure and making her presence tangible: alive amidst the sheets, soft in her pose, suspended in a moment of intimate stillness.
